Artist Bio Statement: “Now a full-time professional artist, Evelyn Patricia Terry, established a 50 – year art career which includes curating, writing, arts advocacy, art collecting, workshop presenting, speaking and jurying exhibitions. She received numerous awards and commendations for her artwork and mentoring of diverse artists. Among many recognitions for her work, a 2014 Milwaukee Arts Board’s Artist of the Year Award and a 2012 Wisconsin Visual Artist Lifetime Achievement Award stand out. In over 500 private, corporate and university and public collections, Terry’s artwork has been exhibited and collected internationally with artwork, locally, in the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Haggerty Museum of Art (Marquette University), Museum of Wisconsin Art, Racine Art Museum and the Wright Museum of Art (Beloit College). Majoring in Visual Arts, she concentrated on drawing and printmaking while earning an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and both a BFA and MS from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Terry Lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. ”
